Wholesale buyer? Please follow the steps below. (It's less complicated to do it than to read about it, but you might as well scan this once just to be sure you know what to expect.)
You must be logged in to see our wholesale prices or to put items into your shopping cart. If you're a returning customer, just Log In. If you're new to us, click Log In then Create an Account.
Step 0
If you know the code numbers of the cards you want, you can go directly to our Quick Order page.
Step 1 - select products
Click one of the Category links in the left navigation column on any page. Or click the Artists... category then an Artist name to see all the cards featuring images by that Artist.
When you click one of the Category or Artist links you are taken to a page which shows small images of the cards. To order a card, enter a quantity and click the Add To Cart button to the right of each image. Or click the image or its title to see a larger image and more information about the card, where you can also Add To Cart. Our shopping cart software will keep track of the items you select.
Logged in buyers will see our wholesale prices in either USD if they are American, or in CDN dollars if from Canada or anywhere else.
There is a minimum quantity of 6 of any one card. Any amount of six or more is fine—it doesn't have to be multiples of six.
Step 2 - review your order
At any time after you've selected at least one item, you can click the Shopping Cart link near the top of the page to see what's in your cart.
While looking at your shopping cart, you can change the quantity of any item or delete any item. To change the quantity, enter a new number in the quantity field, then click the Update button on that line. To delete an item, click the Delete button on that line. Review and make changes until you are satisfied with your order.
The shopping cart shows the products you've ordered so far. Taxes (if applicable) will be calculated when you check out. See the Shipping/Taxes section below.
Our minimum wholesale order is $100, not including taxes.
Step 3 - checkout
When you are satisfied with your order click the Checkout button in the Shopping Cart or at the top of any page to start our simple 5-step order process. Then tell us anything extra we might need to know to get the cards to you.
On the Billing Information screen, select your payment method and fill in any required information. You can add a note here in the Special Instructions field, if you wish. Then click Continue Checkout.
On the Order Confirmation screen (you're almost done!) you can see everything entered so far. If everything is fine, click the Confirm Order button at the bottom. You'll be taken to a final page showing the order confirmation, including your order number. You may print this page. At this point your order and contact information is stored in a secure area on our server, an automatic confirmation email is sent to you showing the details of your order, and we are notified an order has been placed. You should receive your confirmation email within a few minutes.
Step 4 - what happens next?
We review orders then process, pack and ship them within one business day. We use the postal services to send orders, as they seem to be fast and dependable, and more economical than couriers. Canadian buyers should receive their order in 2 to 4 days, US buyers in 5 to 7 days.
Payment
Regular accounts simply choose the Check/Money Order option on the Billing page.
For first time orders only, the easiest way to pay is to enter your credit card information on the order form. Rest assured all your information is protected with the latest and best security protocols. Read more about this on the Privacy page. If you'd rather not, put "Please Call" in the comments field during the order process and we'll call you to get the credit card info.
If you're paying by credit card, you'll see the name Thistle Dance Publishing in the details area of your statement.
Shipping/Taxes
Orders are usually shipped via Canada Post. Average shipping costs are between about $9 to $15, depending of course on the size of the order and where it's going. The shipping costs you see here in our shopping cart are simply estimates. The actual shipping costs will be calculated by us when we pack and weigh your order.
To get out of the office, we may decide to hand deliver local orders in the Halifax area, at a nominal charge of $3.50 to cover the bridge toll and a cup of coffee.
We are located in eastern Canada, in a province that charges HST (Harmonized Sales Tax). Therefore we charge 13% HST on all orders from Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Orders from elsewhere in Canada will be charged the 5% GST (Goods and Services Tax). Orders from outside of Canada will not be charged any tax at all.
The USA and Canada enjoy a mutual free-trade pact which allows products produced in either country to cross the border duty-free. Our products are produced entirely in Canada, and therefore qualify for duty-free status. We provide on the package all the information necessary to ensure our products pass the border duty-free. However, it is still possible for customs officials at border crossings to make the occasional error and charge duty on a package. If this happens, please understand it is out of our control. You'll need to talk to your customs people about the problem.
